Hook, Yarn, & Needles 4th Year Celebration
The Hook, Yarn, & Needles fiber arts group of the Washington DC Fiber Arts Collective is celebrating it's 4th year of existance. We are not having a birthday party, but we are having a great fiber arts workshop. Mixed media artist and felt artist Mr. James Brown, Jr will be facilitating a workshop on felting for the group.
He is a great talent and one of the few African-American males that is a felter. His work which is pictured above shows how he uses felt for storytelling and he is also know for the wearable art felt hats he makes. We are looking forward to an exciting and creative time.
The workshop is being held October 24, 2009 @ the Martin L. King, Jr. Library in Room A-9 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. For additional information email dj wright @ dwright.wrappedinlove@hotmail.com.
