Profile Information

What is your interest in the CreativesDC beta community?
Networking, supporting others projects and fun.
How are you using your imagination and original ideas to enrich our economy and culture in DC, and beyond? Or, how would you like it to?
I founded and coordinate the Washington DC Fiber Arts Collective. WE have been in operation 3.5 years and teach free beginning fiber arts skills. We also facilitate the "Afghan Memorial Project for Child Victims of Murder-"Wrapped In Love" for families and signifigant others who have lost a child to murder. WE are teaching them knitting/crochet to develop memorials to the children who have lost their lives to violence. While I am a psychotherapist it is not about therapy, but about the need to sensitize the population re too much gun death.
