...through Spark Creativity, a capacity building group connecting creativity + passion to productivity and The Saartjie Project, an artist collective exploring race, gender and power on stage.

Jessica Solomon, M.S., Organization Development

Jessica lives for working collaboratively with fellow cultural creatives and is on a journey to deepen the connection between art and social change. As the Principal she brings her identities and years of experience to her work with organizations, teams and individuals. She is invested in the ways creativity functions within the public arena, specifically in the realms of: community development, education, and cultural citizenship. As a community artist she founded The Saartjie Project, an award-winning experimental ensemble theatre company exploring race, gender and power.

Jessica holds a B.A. in African American Studies and Communication Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, a M.S. in Organization Development from American University and is a 2007 StartingBloc for Social Innovation Fellow and 2009 American University Hal Kellner Awardee.

She is also a student of Reiki, West African drumming, French and hoola-hooping.
