What is your interest in the CreativesDC beta community?

Musician, sound designer, community leader - interested in becoming more deeply enmeshed in DC culture.

How are you using your imagination and original ideas to enrich our economy and culture in DC, and beyond? Or, how would you like it to?

On a daily basis I perform, produce and teach music. I'm interested in joining forces with other like minds.

Music specialist at Bach 2 Rock, Bethesda MD. Teaches bass, guitar, drums, piano, recording/electronic music. Recording engineer.

Now involved creating improvised electronic music/soundscapes & installations, blues, jazz and experimental music.

Across five continents Chris has played music with Daniel Lanois, Brian Blade, John Mayer, Victor Wooten/JD Blair, Eddie Bayer, Hannah Thiem (Kanye West), BJ Cole (Sting, Bjork), Memphis Gold, Charlie Sayles, Keppie Coutts, Black Betty, Joe Poppen and many more. Seasoned in all styles, excellent reader.

As faculty at the Academy of Contemporary Music he authored three method books for bass before accepting several scholarships to attend Berklee College of Music. There he completed 5 years of study in three and a half , graduating with the highest honors, all while travelling all over the United States to play and record music. Now teaches at Bach 2 Rock in Bethesda MD.

Goals are to make a meaningful contributions to community through music, education and technology.
