Tiger Fairy

This is the Tiger Fairy. I originally purchased her nude from the thrift store. I created her dress out of felt using a combination of McCall's Pattern 3897, Dress A (a Barbie-sized fairy outfit) with suggestions from Tina Casey's book Fabulous Fashion Doll Clothing You Can Make. I created the fairy wings and the accents on the dress bodice and skirt out of polymer clay. I added fairy ears made out of air-drying clay, which was then painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a matte varnish.
