Heart Moccasins

I was scheduled to undergo hip surgery in September, 2011 so I decided that I needed a pair of moccasins that were a size larger (in order to account for the post-surgical swelling in my legs and feet) and were easy to put on and remove. I purchased a do-it-yourself moccasin kit from Hobby Lobby that's put out by the Silver Creek Leather Company. I followed the easy instructions and I sewed myself a pair in a couple of hours. I added a heart-shaped trim using a stencil. I drew an outline in regular red ink, then colored it in using the same pen. I switched to a red metallic pen and colored another layer on top of the regular red ink. Then I switched to a red sparkly gel pen and colored another layer on top.
