Margo Humphrey is arguably among the great stone lithographers of our age, not to mention her expert story telling skills, often embodied in the images she produces. Margo Humphrey, Volume VII of the David C. Driskell Series of African American Art, masterly prepared by scholar, curator and author, Dr. Adrienne Childs, is long overdue. Millennium Arts Salon is pleased to host a salon talk with artist Margo Humphrey and the author of her book, Adrienne Childs, on Sunday, December 13.
Their Millennium Arts Salon talk, Ten Things to know about Margo Humphrey and the Making of this Book, provides insights about Margo and the collaboration between artist and author. Their salon talk contributes to MAS tenth year anniversary theme: Celebrating 10.
This is MAS annual holiday event. Join us for a stimulating and inspiring exchange between these marvelous gifts in the Washington art community, amidst a festive setting with food and music. (Reception will immediately follow salon talk and book signing.)
The event will take place at Millennium Arts Salon, 1213 Girard Street, NW, Washington, DC Sunday, December 13th from 3-6pm. Admission is $25 - free or discounted for MAS Salon Club Members (fee can be applied toward a purchase of $100 or more). RSVP to email@example.com
