Is DC ready for LA? With everything that's been going in the DC arts scene, Alex Goldstein, Gallery Director, wanted to see what else was going on in America. This summer he traveled to San Francisco and Los Angeles on holiday and in search of artists. Luckily, for him, the artist SCOTCH (who has a solo show upcoming at The Fridge in spring of 2012) introduced him to Luna George of LA's Crewest Gallery. When Luna told Alex about Above the Radar I which she curated in her gallery earlier this year, they decided that an artistic relationship between graffiti and street artists in DC and LA seemed like a natural. Above the Radar II was born.
This travelling exhibition, curated by Luna George of LA based Crewest Gallery, features works of art by nearly 70 graffiti and street artists from the Western United States and beyond.
